The MEGAmation MEGA 2000 multiple head, linear XY motor automation system provides an advanced automation solution that is an alternative to conventional robotics. The Windows NT based MEGA 2000 system consists of up to four XY linear motors suspended from a platen and moving on a cushion of compressed air. Two sets of motors in each axis enable the XY motor to move across the platen. A conventional lead-screw servo system provides Z-axis motion and a direct drive rotary servo motor provides the rotation (theta) axis.

The MEGA 2000 Software
The MEGA 2000 control software has been designed to streamline the process of adapting the MEGA 2000 GUI (Graphical User Interface). You can easily define, teach and test the full functionality of virtually every aspect of your customized robot system and tooling, prior to, or while concurrently, writing your own application code. The MEGA 2000 system allows off-line development of the basic robot motion through the use of simulation that graphically depicts an automated process. The MEGA 2000 provides the ability to setup the robot, define work locations, I/O, tools, and even write your own application at the same time. The application software development environment is an open architecture design, allowing both the novice and advanced C or C++ programmers to utilize the system to full capacity.
